Interior Designer

Job Type - Full Time

DAY TO DAY:

  • Manage internal design projects for Identity as needed.

  • Routinely lead and attend client meetings. Responsible for articulating and communicating the client's vision, goals and objectives.

  • Coordinating with consultants

  • Manage resource library. Overall organization of products and materials relevant to work within the firm.

  • Responsible for supporting multiple project managers projects throughout the office - strong ability to multi-task. Projects can range from programming, space planning, schematic design through construction documentation. Understanding or being able to create details for design intent is ideal.

  • Interior space planning ability and understanding of complex adjacency requirements.

  • Research materials and concepts and use in-depth knowledge of products to develop clients’ vision within budget.

  • Produce and direct graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.

  • Create or manage documentation which aide in efficiencies in regard to office standards, processes, documentation, construction administration, etc.

  • Assist in marketing efforts including RFP's and understanding staffing, scheduling and contracts.

  • Delegate and teach junior design staff to understand the design process

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 to 8 years of experience required

  • 4 Year Degree in Interior Design required

  • Registered Interior Designer or Licensure preferred, ability to gain licensure during first year required (NCIDQ)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup preferred

  • Working knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations, Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), International Building Codes (IBC) in regard to application/relevance to design required

  • Understanding of design process - Basic knowledge of Commercial/Medical/Hospitality/Retail design and planning required

  • Previous commercial and/or medical experience preferred, but not required

  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, task orientated, flexible, possess strong organizational skills, initiative to learn, and sense of urgency. Additionally, they will have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Architectural Design Professional - (Entry to Mid-Level)

Job Type - Full Time

DAY TO DAY:

  • Drafting

  • Researching codes and jurisdictional building requirements

  • Coordinating with consultants

  • Researching permitting requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience required

  • 4 Year Degree in Architecture required

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required (Revit and Adobe Design Suite is a plus, but not required)

  • Basic knowledge of Commercial/Medical/Hospitality/Retail design and planning

  • Basic knowledge of building codes and permitting process

  • Basic understanding of design and production of original construction documents

  • Previous commercial experience preferred

  • Space verification experience is a plus

Architectural Project Manager - (Mid-Level)

Job Type - Full Time

DAY TO DAY:

  • Overseeing all phases of permits and approvals acquisition

  • Project budgeting, scheduling, team administration (reviewing invoices, timesheets, etc.)

  • Site planning

  • All Phases of design for buildings of any size or complexity

  • Supervision of production-design team

  • Complete design and construction of original construction details

  • Drafting and supervision of working drawings

  • Reviewing works for progress, omission, and error

  • Comprehensive engineering, coordination, and drawing review

  • Comprehensive shop drawing and review

  • Complete specification writing

  • Bid administration

  • Supervision of CADD teams

  • Post-construction Reviews and post occupancy surveys

  • Production and design office administration

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensure preferred but not required

  • Experience in a leadership role required

  • Extensive Project Management experience required

  • Degree in Architecture required

  • Able to maintain positive client relationships

  • Ability to make project decisions without consultation from superior

  • Knowledge of all phases of construction and administration of projects
